The short version
We don't store the cards you make. There are no accounts. We don't ask for your name, your email address or anyone else's. We don't sell data. The rest of this page explains the few things that do get recorded, and why.
Birthday Card Free (birthdaycardfree.com) is operated by VIRALWORKS TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, India. In this policy, "we" and "us" means that company.
What's in a card link
When you make a card, the site puts three things into the link: the relationship page, the picture you chose and the name you typed. For example, /girlfriend/b/myra/. When someone opens that link, the card is rebuilt from those pieces. We don't keep a copy anywhere.
Because the name is part of the address, anyone who has the link can see it and open the card. Share it the way you'd share any other link. If you'd rather not put someone's full name in a URL, use a first name or a nickname.
What we don't collect
We don't collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, photos or messages. We don't know who you sent a card to, or whether they opened it. There is no read receipt, no sign-in and no address book. Our analytics count how many cards get opened in total, but they can't tell us whether a particular card was opened or who opened it.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, the servers and network that deliver our pages keep standard request logs. A log entry usually includes the IP address, the browser and device type (user agent), the time, and the page address that was requested. Since a card's address contains the name typed into it, that name can appear in these logs.
We use these logs only to keep the site running, fix errors and deal with abuse or attacks. They're kept for a short period and then deleted automatically, unless we need a specific entry for a security or legal reason.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the site is used: which pages people visit, where visitors come from (a search engine, a shared link, a social app), the rough country and device type, and simple actions such as choosing a picture, making a link or opening a card. It gives us totals and trends, not a profile of you.
The names typed into cards are never sent to analytics. Card addresses are trimmed before they're recorded, so /girlfriend/b/myra/ is counted as /girlfriend/b/, and the page title is replaced too. Google processes this data for us under its own terms, and we don't use it for advertising.
Cookies
The site doesn't need cookies to make or open a card. Google Analytics for Firebase sets first-party cookies (named _ga and similar) so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension that blocks analytics, and the site will keep working the same way.
Other services involved
Our hosting and content-delivery providers process requests to serve the site, and Google processes analytics data as described above. They act on our instructions and aren't allowed to use the data for their own purposes.
When you paste a card link into a chat app or email, that app may fetch the page to build a link preview. What the app does with that is covered by its own privacy policy, not ours.
Selling or sharing data
We don't sell personal data and we don't share it with advertisers. We'd only hand over log data if the law required it.
Children
The site is meant for people old enough to send messages online on their own, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we don't collect names or contact details from anyone, there's no account or profile to remove. If you're a parent and have a concern, email us and we'll help.
Your choices and questions
Because we don't hold accounts or card records, there's usually nothing tied to you that we could look up, correct or delete. If you think we hold something about you, or you have any question about this policy, write to support@myheartcraft.com and we'll answer.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, like starting to store anything about cards, we'll say so clearly on the site before it takes effect.
